Life is like a marathon. Like in life, we all start in the same position, in the same space and time. And once the starting gun has fired, we are all force to start running, not knowing what would possibly lie ahead, maybe its a smooth run with a few ups and down or maybe it will be a brutal run with steep slopes and heavy rain leaving you soaked to the bone, we will never know. But as the marathon draws out, there are only 3 position you can possible be in. Either you are in first place or behind first place or you have just simply given up. If you have dead on the floor, out of breathe and totally broken down with no will left over, then obviously you will never reach your destination. Not only that but slowly you will be further and further behind everybody else. You envision everybody finishing the marathon will only cause more heartache than any physical pain will ever cause. Now from here you have a choice to either stand back up and deal with the pain or remain seated on the floor and deal with the forever haunting image of everybody at the finish line. The second position you can be in, is behind first place, now everybody wants to be a winner right or else whats the point in competing, so we try even harder... pushing off the ground harder, picking up the pace, extending our strides to eventually try and take over first place. If you are behind you must put in the extra effort, do not not make excuses "ohh he has better genetics than me, he was born to be a runner, he has a better training facility" Hard work always prevails talent. So now you have taken over the first place, you are now in front, leading the pack. It feels good huh but don't be fooled. Just because you are first now doesn't mean the race is over. You thought overtaking first place was the hard part. Oh man have you gotten it wrong. If you are in first place, you need to put in the same amount of effort, in order to remain first. You need to work just as hard as before in order to remain ahead of the pack This is what is needed to be done or else someone else will just outmatch you and overtake you. then all that effort to reach first place would be wasted. Life is just like a marathon.
